1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Journal Publications platform at journalpublications.com, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, either as an individual or as an authorised representative of an institution.

These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including authors, reviewers, editors, administrators, and readers. If you are using the platform on behalf of an institution, you represent that you have authority to bind that institution to these Terms.

2. Our Services

Journal Publications provides an academic publishing platform offering the following services:

• Online submission and tracking of research manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals
• Assignment and management of double-blind peer review workflows
• Editorial decision management for editors and reviewers
• Online publication and DOI assignment for accepted research articles
• Indexing of published content with global academic databases
• Reader access to published articles, books, and chapters
• Author dashboard for tracking submission status and correspondence

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time with reasonable notice to users.

3. User Accounts

To access most features of the platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
• Keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account with others
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorised use of your account
• Be responsible for all activity conducted through your account
• Use only one account per individual (duplicate accounts may be removed)

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in academic misconduct, or present fraudulent information.

4. Content & Intellectual Property

Your Submitted Content: Authors retain copyright in their submitted manuscripts. By submitting a manuscript, you grant Journal Publications a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to edit, reproduce, distribute, and publish the work if accepted, in print and electronic formats, including for indexing purposes.

Published Articles: Published articles are subject to the copyright and licensing terms agreed upon at the point of acceptance (e.g., Creative Commons for Open Access, or standard copyright transfer for publications acquired through our institutional archive).

Platform Content: All other content on this platform — including the platform design, logos, editorial tools, and software — is the intellectual property of Journal Publications and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without express written permission.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the platform for any prohibited purposes, including:

• Submitting manuscripts that have been published elsewhere without disclosure (duplicate publication)
• Fabricating, falsifying, or selectively reporting research data
• Misrepresenting authorship, including gift authorship or ghost authorship
• Plagiarising the work of others or submitting AI-generated content without proper disclosure
• Attempting to identify or contact reviewers during a double-blind review process
• Soliciting or accepting bribes or inappropriate incentives in connection with editorial decisions
• Using automated scrapers, bots, or scripts to access platform content without permission
• Conducting any activity that disrupts, impairs, or overloads the platform infrastructure

6. Fees & Payments

Many journals on our platform operate under an Open Access model, which requires an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon manuscript acceptance.

• APCs are non-refundable once the article has been published
• If a manuscript is retracted post-publication due to author misconduct, no refund will be issued
• Waiver requests for APCs are considered on a case-by-case basis for researchers from low-income countries
• All prices are listed in USD and are subject to change with 30 days notice for new submissions
• We accept payments via major credit cards and institutional bank transfers

For premium journals and archived publications, reader access is granted through one-time institutional or individual purchases via our secure digital marketplace. Unlike legacy subscription models, these purchases grant permanent archival access to the acquired content.

7. Editorial Decisions

All editorial decisions made on our platform — including acceptance, revision requests, and rejection — are final and at the sole discretion of the Editor-in-Chief or designated handling editor.

• We do not guarantee acceptance of any submitted manuscript
• Editorial decisions are based on peer review reports and are not subject to appeal, except in cases of alleged reviewer misconduct or process failures
• If you believe an editorial process failure has occurred, you may submit a formal complaint to editorial@journalpublications.com
• Reviewer identities remain confidential and will not be disclosed regardless of the editorial outcome

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• Journal Publications is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the platform
• We are not responsible for editorial decisions, peer review outcomes, or publication timelines beyond our control
• Our total liability to any user for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by that user to Journal Publications in the 12 months preceding the claim

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the user agreement at any time:

• By You: You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Deletion will not remove already-published articles from the permanent record.
• By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you have violated these Terms, committed academic misconduct, or engaged in fraudulent activity.

Upon termination, your access to the platform will cease, but provisions regarding intellectual property, content licences for published articles, and limitation of liability shall survive termination indefinitely.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Journal Publications is incorporated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the use of the platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Journal Publications' registered jurisdiction.
