Peer Review Process
Our rigorous double-blind peer review system ensures the highest quality research reaches the academic community through fair, transparent, and expert evaluation.
Why Peer Review Matters
Peer review is the cornerstone of academic publishing. It ensures that scientific findings are scrutinised by qualified experts before they enter the public record. At Journal Publications, our process is designed to support authors in improving their work while maintaining the strictest standards of academic integrity.
We employ a double-blind review model, meaning neither the reviewer nor the author knows the identity of the other. This eliminates bias and ensures evaluations are based purely on the merit of the research.

Our Review Principles
Every review conducted on our platform is governed by these core principles.
Confidentiality
All submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities remain strictly confidential throughout and after the review process.
Impartiality
Reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves if such conflicts exist.
Constructive Feedback
Reviewers are expected to provide specific, actionable, and respectful feedback that helps authors improve their work.
Timeliness
Reviewers commit to completing their evaluation within the agreed timeframe to ensure authors receive prompt decisions.
The Review Journey
From submission to final decision, here is how your manuscript progresses through our editorial pipeline.
Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or handling editor performs an initial check for scope alignment, formatting compliance, ethical declarations, and language quality. Off-scope or poorly prepared manuscripts are desk-rejected within 1–3 days.
Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass screening are assigned to 2–3 independent expert reviewers in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on expertise, avoiding conflicts of interest.
Double-Blind Review
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript anonymously. Author identities are hidden from reviewers and vice versa. This stage typically takes 3–8 weeks depending on reviewer availability.
Editorial Decision
The editor synthesises reviewer reports and issues one of five decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, Reject & Resubmit, or Reject. All decisions include detailed reviewer comments.
Author Revision
For revision decisions, authors submit a revised manuscript with a detailed point-by-point response to each reviewer comment. Revisions are typically re-assigned to the original reviewers.
Final Acceptance & Publication
Upon final acceptance, manuscripts undergo copy-editing and production. Authors review and approve final proofs. The article is then published and assigned a DOI and indexed globally.
Review Criteria
Reviewers assess manuscripts against the following criteria:
- Originality & Novelty — does the work make a meaningful new contribution?
- Scientific Rigour — are methods sound, reproducible, and appropriately applied?
- Data Integrity — are results presented accurately and without manipulation?
- Literature Grounding — is the work situated within relevant existing research?
- Clarity of Writing — is the manuscript logically structured and clearly written?
- Scope Suitability — does the work fall within the target journal's scope?
- Ethical Compliance — are all required ethics statements and disclosures provided?
Reviewer Misconduct
Reviewers must not use unpublished information from manuscripts for their own research, share the manuscript with others, or misuse their position to advantage themselves or disadvantage authors unfairly. Any suspected misconduct should be reported immediately to the editorial office.
